I think touchscreens are just a stopgap between knobs and voice. Probably the future has a lot more HUD, too.
I've seen it mentioned here in MVS Forums more than once that touchscreens are the devil, and I agree. Too much messing about with your eyes off the road = dangerous, distracted driving.
Meanwhile voice both ways is getting very smart, with the flagship being Amazon's Alexa.
