Trailer wiring help

I have separate amber, stop, and normal lights.
I'm having trouble finding the brake and normal lights in this circuit.
I found left and right turn as they pulse.
However, the yellow wire actually goes off when I press the brake pedal - I was expecting it to register ohms when I press the pedal
The blue and black always seem to on even when I take the ignition key out.
Any ideas how to troubleshoot?

Are you trying to mate a Volvo or other “amber turn signal car” with a trailer that is wired to utilize a common brake/turn signal circuit like the older US cars were wired?

Are you using the Volvo trailer wiring kit?

It's a curt kit that I need to splice in.
I'm trying to identify the wires in the Volvo to see what to splice.
