Car is 91 wagon, b230f motor with 225,000 miles. It has been maintained
by a local Volvo repair shop, for the big stuff, and normal maintenance I do. The car has been a bit delicate to start for several months. I always have to use the accelaerator to start. It used to start without touching the pedal. This am at 30 ish degrees it would not start, after repeated attempts it snorted to life, rough at first then seems to run OK. Few months ago smelled fuel from beneath car, pulled the gas filter and discoved a connection was slightly loose. Changed the filter. The last time this occured the mass air meter was replaced and soon the speed sensor.
What about the temp sensor or? Car is great on the road but seems to have lost power when pulling a hill. Any thoughts for a should- have- been a volvo mechanic. Thanks , pecchi
740 was very hard to start this cold morning, 33 degrees.
