Cruise control resume feature

Post by Bagelman »

Try this one next time you're out -

Set the cruise control at a high speed (40 or 50mph+), come to a stop, say at a toll booth or what have you, and then hit cruise-resume. Does anyone else's tranny fail to shift up?

The engine got up to around 4500 rpm without a gear change before I finally freaked and killed the cruise.
I can even do this without the cruise control by just flooring it.

This is my first automatic transmission (just converted from a manual '83 Saab 900). Do all automatics do this or is it just something with my '02 V70?

(In my CD now - Joss Stone, Soul Sessions)
