2000 C70 HT Update on electrical problems.
I wanted to post a few pictures and post an update of all the problems I encountered with my recently purchased C70 purchase. I done an even trade for a 2000 Volvo C70 HT 2.3 Convertible with the 5 speed manual shift, The traded vehicle was a 1994 GMC Sierra SLE Extended cab 2 wheel drive that had 210K on the clock. No money exchanged hands, just a flat even trade,though I think he got the better end of the deal, we drove the car 1 or 2 days and was having the limp mode issue I am assuming because the ETS warning light was on, and still is, and it would drive fine until it warmed up then no throttle response, I had 2 engine codes, P0102 and P0121 I believe they were, i literally traced and pulled loose every wiring harness under the engine bay, ended up putting all new wire loom back in, re wrapping all the wiring with new electrical tape, cleaned every single connection with CRC Electrical cleaner then used CRC Dielectric grease from everything from the headlights,turn signals back to the fuse box. I repaired the B+ Battery cable issue by installing a new 4 gauge single wire at the Lug in the Relay/Main Fuse box. I cleaned all the ground points and soldered each ground connection where it was just crimped. All the ground wires directly by the battery have gone through the same. I installed a new fuel filter, new BOSCH MAF sensor, new platinum plugs, took the ECM Box apart and cleaned with air ( I live in a very,very, dusty state, NM so the dirt in and on everything was overwhelming), it has a new gas pedal assembly with sensor installed ( OEM Volvo), checked all the injectors and wrapped all wires with new wire loom and electrical tape. all radiator hoses removed and degreased, all turbo ETM related piping degreased and cleaned, new intake manifold gasket, new upper engine mount, coolant flush and new thermostat installed ( they had the green antifreeze in) , removed cooler and radiator and had both flushed and cleaned and the cooling fan assembly. I guess i will stop before this is too long. sorry, my point is the car was badly neglected and we love the car, i plan on doing a lot more, i will post pictures. After all said and done, installing all new tail light bulbs etc MAF i no longer seem to have any voltage issues, no more engine codes and it runs very well with the exception of the ETS , i will make another post about that. Double check the resistance on the power and signal wires from/to your MAF.

i checked the MAF plug last night before seeing this post, just out of curiosity, anyway i will check again, i did check the 2 bottom left pins, with both voltmeter leads and had the correct voltage there

Is there a way to check to see if the accelerator pedal is getting the required 12 volts other than probing the plug itself?
