I can't articulate how proud I am of this place. All the repairs, advice, and keep-in-on-the-road Volvo info we've built up over a half million posts (!) now.
I'd like to think we've saved hundreds or thousands of Volvos from the crusher / landfills / scrap.
Thank you. You make MVS what it is.

My 1999 T5 was saved by this site. I had no experience outside VAG group, and my first major foray under the hood made me go search the web for resources, way back in 2013. Of the Fora I found, the expertise and adult nature of the content here, and lack of text talking, made MVS the gold standard of expertise, verve, elan, and Oxford commas; a verdant oasis of lexicon in the Tundra of the blasé ignorance of the internet.

1999 T5 saved!
Verdant oasis? MVS has been called many things, but never Verdant oasis.
Are we turning French here? Verdant, élan, blasé...
One thing I've noticed, speaking of the French... they're terribly underrepresented here on MVS. By membership (who have selected their country upon registration) they're 12th... behind even say Poland (8th), Volvo must not have ever had a large share of the market there, with the competition from domestics Peugeot, Citroën, etc.
Which leads to:

Wow did we spend time building those up. There is a lot of text there. It still says "200k posts". I need to update that.
That post is itself post #29,xxx, so I must have updated that at least once over the years. I could make a better journal of content changes. I only document technical SEO/server speed changes, and even there it's in the Google Analytics system.

I had to goggle oxford comma. If that is the requested style, I am a terrible slacker of posting style (and most any other type of style).
Will I be shunned?

"You should note that the Oxford comma is optional, which means you are not required to use it. As a matter of fact, it is not a common practice in countries such as the United Kingdom, South Africa, or Australia. Although it is a standard grammar rule in the United States, it is more common when dealing with non-journalistic forms of prose."

Oxford commas are like condoms of prose; easy to use, highly effective, and much safer than without.
The fact that you googled punctuation means you will always be welcome on MVS

Off Topic Addendum (Peugeot) - 10,000 Miles Owning a Buick Regal TourX Wagon: What I've Learned
...
...
It’s the only American-nameplate wagon left in a market that was once jam-packed with the things. Sure, it’s technically a German car—from a brand (Opel) now owned by Peugeot/Citroen—but the Buick Regal TourX is one of the better cars I’ve driven in the last few years.
