S40 T5 Turbo Gauge

Hi Guys,

Has anyone tried to install a boost gauge and dump valve on a S40 T5. Has it worked? Does it affect the engine in any way, etc.

Should work fine...don't see how it would be any different than how it's done to any other FWD Volvo...just tap into one of the vacuum lines (buy a T-connector) and run the hose up through the pass-through below the steering wheel from the fire wall into the cabin and up to the A-pillar or wherever you want to install the gauge. As for the blow-off valve, you can read up on its installation at www.volvospeed.com Click on the message board. If there is nothing about the S40, look in the 850/70 series section...there is plenty there in the Mod section. Good luck!
