P3 XC70 for first car

Hello, I have never owned a volvo, nor a car. But the time is soon coming where I finally need to get one. I live in Canada, specifically the prairies, and I want to get something that is a little bit better than your standard car that you see everywhere.

And I've decided I want to get a p3 XC70, but I was wondering if anyone has any advice on buying them. I'm looking at 2008-2010 as they are in my price range. Any common issues with it, anything to lookout for, general reliability?

Also I'd love to hear if anyone has installed any of the bluepower headunits made for the XC70, since smartphone connectivity is a must for music and whatnot.
