Hello,
I have volvo S60 2002. 430k miles.
Recently after I stareded my car the CCM did not work. Nothing on it was active. I drove 15 min then I stoped on a gas station. I did check the fuses and everything was fine after that few days. Then it happen again. But this time it does not work since few days.

Did it dies completely? Is there something to check, test or something I can do before replacement?

First, congrats for the 430K miles. I would first measure the alternator with the engine running, then disconnect the battery for 1h (neg cable) and measure the battery as well. If all checks fine, 'maybe' it's a faulty thermistor, or perhaps something else, at these high miles I would think maybe the electronic modules are reaching the end of their designed life. I would try first to replace the CCM with a used one from 2002 (or even a 2001 but not later) - the battery must be disconnected during this.

It wouldn't hurt to pull the unit out while the battery is disconnected (so you don't get an air bag light) and open it up. As I recall it is fairly easy to open and inspect the circuit board for signs of failure - maybe some bad solder joints.

I will look around to see if I can find one - I saw it a few months ago, but may have thrown it out. If I find it I will pm you in the next day or so - it was from an 02 XC70.

You can also see if the onboard diagnostic will tell you if it sees the CCM. Look it up - it checks various modules for communication - if it does cover the CCM - it will tell you if it cannot communicate with it.

Pull the fuse, check the voltage on the pins. If the voltage reads fine, CCM itself is the culprit.

I disconected battery for 1hr. Now is ok few days.

Make CERTAIN your battery is "young and powerful" (like I used to be).
Is it Winter in "wa"?
Strong battery is always CONDITION #1 in diagnosing anything these days.

You said when the problem was present that nothing was active. Were lights on on the CCM? Or was there just no fan, or no heat or cooling?

If no lights then there is either no power to it (wires or fuse) or a major internal CCM fault.
If no air flow or no heat or cooling, then there may be an issue with the CCM determining the current temperature, or the blower or damper doors.
