Fault/Error Codes

Post by Ubigreat »

Hi friends,
I got these attached codes from my '01 V40 with an Elm325 scanner. I tried using the scanner to clear the codes, it showed 100% completed, but when I rescanned the errors we're still there.

I removed the battery for some minutes, drove the car for about 5miles and rescanned yet the codes are still there. Any hints on how to clear the codes before solving some of the problems.
The car drives a bit well just once in a while sputtering and rough idling.

About 10 years ago I had a CEL that would not reset my '01 S40 no matter what I did.
I used a ScanGuageII reader that said everything was reset - but obviously it wasn't.

I ended up contacting the ScanGuage manufacturer to ask why my reader wasn't doing a proper reset.
They were very helpful and gave me an alternative way to reset the ECU with a long list of computer code input.
It worked perfectly and I never had a problem with resets again.

Sorry, that explanation is not specific to your problem, but contacting the scanner manufacturer may be an option.

The only "skills" needed were to enter the number/letter sequence that they provided into my ScanGuage II.
