Trying to replace ABS plug lever

Post by chris11211 »

So, working on my abs I've realised the mechanic for the first owner rushed removing the plug, and now it won't actuate the release. Therefore, it's now just a plug cover.

I got a replacement unit from the junk, and I'm wondering if anyone has ever changed or removed the lever action mechanism of the ABS plug. It seems to be held in place by a cylinder piece in the middle, but I do not know if I should attack it on the sides, or try to break what is holding it from the top.

Not the end of the world if I break a perfectly working unit, just seeing if someone ever bothered with switching out a broken one.
