How long has it been disappearing? If they worked on the heater core and they didn't fully "burp" the system, a coolant system can suck in more coolant for a while after servicing. Squeeze the hoses and fill it up to midway on the reservoir, and watch it closely. If it continues to drop, and there is no spot on the carpet or coolant smell, it could be going out the tailpipe, unrelated to your servicing possibly. So if topping it off doesn't solve the problem, you may have to look elsewhere.
My Honda's heater core made a gurgling sound after I had the radiator flushed. I topped it off, and it stopped. It was just air in the system they didn't fully purge the air afterwards.
Also, you might post what your symptoms were before the repairs and what they say they did to repair the heat & a/c.
