Spare Tire Holder

I don't know if other cars have this setup?
.
Broke one of two tabs that is inserted into the slots in the car for tightening.
.
Cut off the broken end and sand flat. Cut washer, flatten carriage bolt round top and use some Gorilla on the carriage bolt and washer so the bolt and plastic post is stationary when tightening. Small clear tubing is inserted into the hole at the other end to center the bolt.

Had to trim the washer some more and did not use the split washer. Will also use a nylon self tightening nut. The threaded post when compressed will distort making the spinning handle difficult to turn.

Final Product. A bit rough as I was in hurry and only have a drill with a sanding pad.
