volvo 245 temperature sensor (s)

Post by goateemagician »

hello all, I have a 1984 Volvo 245 with the b23f redblock and a Chrysler ignition control unit. I have an issue with wiring, the second temperature sensor (closer to the firewall) is not connected to anything, where is it supposed to connect? I have the one to the dash, so I know this is the important one, I have no clue which port in the ECU or ICU or anything else, the manual I have does not seem to have the answer either. Thank you

My manual has wiring diagram that shows there should be a blue wire to connect to the computer system for engine temperature. The wire should end up at port 2 of the ECM. The dash gauge has a separate temperature sensor.
If you need more detail, I can look at my '83 245 with same systems.
