2005 s40 2.4i fwd- brand new to me.
$800 and 147k miles
Bought it with chocolate milkshake coolant. It wound up being a faulty oil cooler. The previous owner thought it was a bad head gasket, zero overheating though.
After a few days, the expansion tank cap O-ring was swollen, puffy and out of place and caused the cap to break when removing/replacing it. I’m worried the oil did damage to hoses or other orings? Like the water pipe oring as well maybe??
My hoses currently seem ok though. It had oil in it for months btw. Maybe Volvo used better rubber in their hoses. My sons bmw had same problem and all of his hoses were swollen and puffy and started to rupture.
Anyone have experience with this situation ?
