1985 240 DL Volvo - Headlight Switch

Does anyone know of a link to a repair manual for a 1985 240 DL Volvo? I need to replace a broken headlight switch and I wanted to know the procedure to follow.

Sorry, I don't know of a link. However, working from memory, this is one of the easier switches to replace.

Remove the trim/soundproofing cover under the drivers side to access the rear of the switch. Pull the knob off the switch, exposing a nut and toothed washer. Remove the nut and washer and the switch should then be free to be pushed out of its hole. You should now be able to get hold of it from under the dash and remove the wiring connector.

Beware, there are several headlight switches available with different connections. Be sure you get the right one.

As I said, this is from memory as it is a long time since I owned a 240 but I think it is right.
