You have to ...

Not exceed 60,mph

Keep,throttle between idle and 3/4

Keep ga stank filled between 1.4 and 3/4

Don’t use air conditioning

Drive for 2o minute following these, stop and idle for 3 minutes, then do this again

Not sure where you are but when I bought my 98 S70 GLT the readiness monitors were not checked off. I am in Portland, OR. When I finally just went to try to get smoged they plugged in the OBDII & also tailpiped it. They said Volvos are very difficult to get the readiness set so they double check with the sniffer test. If it passes the sniffer, they pass the car. Sorry for being so long winded. Hope this helps.

Hello Empty Nester
I try your suggestion twice do not do not Work, I took the Car in Desert 500 mile High temperature ,High speed do not Work
I took the Car for Smog check, ASM Emission Test : Pass,Funcial Test = Fail,He said don't know what wrong with Car No communication with Computer.
Pay $91.00 for Smog Check ,The Computer don't know what it's wrong with the CAR.

This is the only post I’ve ever found that THOROUGHLY covers getting a car through the P80 flywheel adaptation and monitor readiness from start to finish. Most posts seem to only address one or the other.

https://www.brickboard.com/AWD/volvo/14 ... ccess.html

The key is the flywheel adaptation, most people go blue in the face trying to get the monitors set while the flywheel adaptation isn’t complete (including yours truly at one point).
