There are five engine mounts total? Right? But what other components can transfer vibrations from engine to chassi? I feel enginge vibrations through the floor and it’s gradually getting worse. Speed has no effect, only engine rpm. Based on that I ruled out drive shafts, tires, brakes, wheel bearings etc
So please make this list as complete as possible
Upper mount
Lower front mount
Lower right mount
Two main engine mounts
...
What can transfer vibrations

Zero vibration in the steering ?
I would say unbalanced rear wheels or the two main engine mounts - especially on the diesel engine (vacuum mounts)
May also look at the mount near the crank pulley but only if really collapsed www.youtube.com/watch?v=y4nvecLGeOU

Possible torque converter - maybe solenoid that controls the same.
What happens when you put it in neutral at speed?

Well it sounds like your transmission is the issue as the sound disappears when not under load.
Could be end of life for clutch, pilot bearing and related components - or maybe a had part failure internally.
Have you checked your transmission fluid level? Signs of any leaks? Maybe pull the drain plug and check the magnet for excessive metal deposits - could be a hard part failing internally. If you find excessive metal - this will be a clue as well as fluid condition.
I am not familiar with Volvo manual transmissions, but they are fundamentally the same as the rest of the designs.

Exhaust can definitely cause vibrations in the body. A hole will usually be audible, but a loose mount of rubber buffer won’t make noise.
