Michelin Defender -- buying today -- rating on tire

I asked the guy but trust no one these days -- asked him if the tires were H rated. He stuttered and said yes.

Is the rating on the tire? It was recommended by this forum to get H rated rather then T for a softer ride. -- thanks

Yes it's stamped on the sidewall. Not sure but maybe the last letter in the series of numbers and letters. S,T or H.

Those letters are speed rating.
T is up to 180km/h.
H is up to 200km/h...If i remember correctly...i have a table somewhere.

Tires with thicker sidewalls are rated with XL(extra load).

Make sure they install the speed rating side of the tire on the outside so we can admire them while we sit idling in traffic next to you.
