sway bar

I am trying to figure out what sway bar is on my car without crawling underneath it, again! References to them say marked 1, or a color: red, yellow,
or blue. I would like to replace the bushings and the end links! The sway bar itself is in decent shape.

Is this on the 1998 base V70?

I’ll link sway bar codes table...you find these in the plate on the driver fender, under hood

My 1998 V70 base has the following product ID, line 20: 4F2PEVS5

So, it is marked 2. Is this referring to a color or a specific diameter of the sway bar

Hmmm, we need the sway bar number code to diameter or color code secret decoder ring

Front swaybar diameter part #s, sizes, paint splotch colors:

9173982 O.Dia 20 mm (marked red)
9173983 O.Dia 21 mm (marked yellow)
9173471 O.Dia 21.5 mm (marked yellow/blue)

Based on the decoding table from the IPD link you provided, the anti-sway bar code is 2 - this would be item or number 21 in above table. I do not know if this helps!

Elizabeth the T5 is sway bar code 2, I’ll go out and measure it in a bit.

What we don’t know is how to map the code numbers to the part numbers above!

Plate code 2 is 21.0 mm bar measures on two Cars this morning

It's easy to measure, just reach down with a caliper

My 98 V70 also has a number 2 sway bar, and the yellow marking is clearly visible (looking from the top, between the engine and firewall)

I was sure I detailed this a few years ago with color/diameter info. If I recall correctly (a 50/50 or less chance!!) The XC has the thickest swaybar at 21.5mm.
