Howdy, I changed my oil earlier and I noticed a stain on my splash shield. Looked up past the longer CV joint to find what I guess is this small rubber flex hose that is connecting two pipes I've never noticed but I'm taking a guess and hoping that this is another coolant line and that it's the culprit to my minor but noticeable coolant leak.
The stain on the shield was not there last year, nor did I notice it when my mechanic took a look at my oil leak this summer. However, we did a pressure test and figured that if I just replace the coolant tank cap then it shouldn't leak from the tank. I'm guessing since pressure is now more constant with a new cap that the leak finally got worse as a result?
How many more of these are there? I know there's one next to the reservoir. Is there a guide on how to install them and where they are all located? Anyone done this before? What tools do I need? I'm guessing it's gonna be a massive loss of coolant I would have to deal with. Give it to the mechanic?
Did I guess right and figured it's this part?

Very few tools needed.
a small sharp screwdriver, to remove the clamps.
Steel wool, or wet/dry paper to clean the corrosion from pipe ends.
2 screw type hose clamps.
I prefer tightening the replacement clamp with a small socket ratchet wrench, using the screwdriver slot on the new clamp can be too fiddly.
I need to order that same hose, mine got nicked by the metal heat shield.

Thanks for responding. So this is a coolant line? Do I have to remove some coolant from the screw valve to the right or remove from radiator? Hose clamps for the revivor? And is the part I linked the correct one? And is there only 2 of them?

Yes it is a coolant line and you'll need to drain the radiator and the block, and still there will be some spillage when you remove the hose.
That's the correct part. Just one of them. Earlier models up to 2000 definitely had a second turbo coolant hose back there which is a different part number with an elbow bend, I don't know of the P2 cars have that.

OK sure, makes sense given that the turbo has the same ports on it. It is normal maintenance to replace them both at the same time for sure. There are no other rubber hoses for the turbo cooling lines.
Other rubber coolant hoses if you want to tackle them while the system is empty: on the reservoir, the upper rad hose, the lower rad hose, two heater hoses at the firewall. I'd leave the heater hoses alone unless they show evidence of leaking. You've already dealt with cooling lines for the PCV so those should be good.
There may not be any how-to for the turbo coolant hoses, basically you access from above or below (hopefully yours is not AWD) and do what is needed to get them swapped. Here's a thread for older cars, note the turbo inlet hose the easiest thing may be to take off the banjo bolt and pull the pipe out like they did here: viewtopic.php?t=55306
That's just for FYI purposes, I've not done this job yet on a P2 car like yours, maybe wait until someone who has done it chimes in.
