Not fun, but not as bad as I always thought it'd be.
How? Stovetop microwave underside bulb replacement. The ones that give light to illuminate the stove. It's a small bulb, I forget the base size. The underside has two.
These cheap bulbs we have these days are BS, and like every 2nd one, the glass twisted off the base. It's only been in there 8ish months before it burned out.
The setting was "off", but it's a relay with a high/lo/off cycle settings, set with a button on the microwave. I was pretty sure "off" meant no current, but what do I know? I'm no electrician.
So the base is still in there. I'm going to wait for better weather, and shut off the breaker, then get it out.

Its probably plugged into wall outlet in the soffet, you can pull that too.
