no sound driver door

I recently purchased a 2014 XC70 T6.
I installed new speakers in the front doors.
Afterwards I noticed there was no sound on the drivers side. It could have been that way before and I just didn't notice.
I used an Autel bluetooth scanner and the code reveals Speaker 1 is shorted to ground.
I pulled the door panel again and measured the Plus speaker signal wire. It's not shorted to ground.

Any suggestions on next step(s) for troubleshooting?

Did you check for any audio signal going to the door speaker?

I am not sure how to check for an audio signal.
The new speaker tests good.
I am not reading continuity between any 2 speaker wires, nor any wire to ground.
