It's lovely, but...wow.....47k?
Sometimes I feel like people (or classics dealers) put things on Hemmings at silly prices hoping to snag a wealthy romantic. Prices they would never get at an auction. But BaT lately has run up many winning bids to silly level, just because the right people were in the room.

Too many folks watched Barrett-Jackson run up the numbers by bidding people against the Coke sign on the back wall, or using a house plant. BaT - which I just learned is part of the Hearst/Road and Track group - has the good sense to not put proxy bids in blindness; whatever you think it's worth becomes the new high bid, and they seem to stay out of the way. Capping their fee at $5k helps bring in the high-end iron (Off topic, but e.g. : https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1998-subaru-22b/ )BlackBart wrote: ↑20 Apr 2021, 19:42 It's lovely, but...wow.....47k?
