Coil circuit malfunction

Post by dha89 »

So my check engine light has been on and I recently put a scanner on it and it shows 5 codes. It has the coil primary/secondary circuit malfunction for every coil. A B C D and E. I recently changed the coils and spark plugs because of this issue but it did not resolve the issue. Anyone have any idea on other things to check. I checked the wires from the coils all the way down to where they hit the main harness and they seem ok.

Did you clear codes after the replacements?

Measure the battery voltage at each coil and the battery voltage at the battery. Compare.

Fault trace differences by tracking back from coils.

I recommend either Volvo or Bosch coils only , not from ebay
