850 RIP kit United Kingdom usage?

Post by Jamesmoore850T5 »

Hi

Long story short, I want to install a RIP kit on my Volvo 850 T5 for a little better performance

I live in the United Kingdom ( England ) and am concentrating about throttle body freezing in winter months. This is my daily driver so it’s important for it to be usable all the time

Last year in my area the lowest the temperatures got were around -5 degrees Celsius.

Has anyone had any experience with running RIP kits in these conditions or in the UK in general ?

Am I safe to install a rip kit ? Or should I just change and refresh my boost hoses on standard piping ?

Thanks

My 94 T5 has a factory installed RIP kit and this is my winter daily. I've never had problems, even at -10 Celsius. Some people have had problems, but this is more of a Scandinavian or Canadian problem.
In the UK, you should be fine (with the RIP, can't say so about Brexit).
