My left hand side door latch stopped working from the remote key fob.
Following Robert Spinner's Youtube video I replaced the tiny thermal breaker in the latch servo motor.
Now the motor only spins one way - it locks the latch when unlock button is pressed and does nothing when lock button is pressed.
I'm baffled. I tried to read the wiring diagram in the Haynes manual but can't glean much from it.
I applied 12v directly to the motor to confirm that it can spin both ways.
I'm guessing that it's either the central locking control unit or a bad connection somewhere.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be most welcome.

Check the wires where they exit the door but also check from the driver's side as well where the master switch is. I have had several wires shear with age in the loom at the door. Volvo at least made it fairly easy to check as the harness splits at the door pillar allowing access to the pins to help buzzing out the wires.
