V70 Petrol Manual 2.4T 2000 - Yaw sensor/ABS fault reading 15v!?

Has anyone had any experience with DSTC warning lamp lit due to yaw rate/lateral sensor AND/OR ABS unit fault?

My V70 Petrol Manual 2.4T 2000 has failed MOT due to an DSTC error.

Initial error reading shows faulty yaw rate sensor.
This car has 2 yaw rate sensors and 1 lateral accelerometer.

Yaw rate sensor have been replaced with reconditioned units and that removed the yaw rate error.
Now the ABS unit is reporting an incorrect voltage of 15 volts!

The ABS unit was removed and reconditioned 2 years ago due to the ABS warning light lit on the dash. ABS unit was found to be fine during this process - was refitted and the ABS error persisted. (Fault was eventually traced by the mechanic unplugging every sensor he could find and then plugging them in one by one. Found ABS fault was being triggered by a faulty brake fluid fill level sensor.)

So now the ABS unit is reporting an incorrect voltage - should I have the unit reconditioned again?

Has anyone had any experience of chasing down these yaw rate/ABS errors?

15v...coming from where?
Maybe a quick voltage check with the engine running will show your alternator is putting out higher voltage
It'd be nice (and cheap) if you found it was a hot jump-start or battery disconnection with the engine running which trashed your regulator.

The 15v is being reported on the diagnostic readout. The wiring has since been tested and there are no actual readings of 15v.
Me too - always like to go for the cheap fixes first!!

The ABS control module was removed to get the part number to make enquiries about getting it reconditioned. The usual places that do this said that was not a part that they could work with any more! Poor Volvo! He's 21 years old now, so many parts places have abandoned cars of that age. Including the dealer.

Anyway, the control module was reconnected and the fault cleared!
It's a miracle. Unplug it and plug it in again, now that's the kind of cheap fix I like
