With gems like this, why bother repairing?

I wish I had seen this lovely green 2000 V70 for sale. The car looks brand new. Purchase and rehab cost for my current beater will be almost as much yet it will never look that good. It's good to know that a beautiful 2000 V70 is worth $5000.

why didn't Volvo make more in that color.

I swear 99% of the s/v70s I see are silver, white and black. Only a few blue, green and reds.

I know some people on this board find gems for peanuts but I never find those.
I think I'd definitely pay $5k for that vs a lot of other 2000 model year cars out there.
and do a manual conversion on that. but that's just me

I do like that color. We get a lot of that color up here. Along with Nautic Blue they are probably the most common colors.

Car looks sharp and well cared for. Even if it is an NA it is about time people start to appreciate these. When you see the price of a 240 these days, it is hard to understand why they are so much more expensive than a car like this. P80's (in my opinion) are a much better car to drive even without the RWD of the 240.

I saw a 105,000 mile 2004 C70 for sale locally for $2800 Cdn (around $2300 US). Not my thing but looked a fair price.

*shrug*

I'm a 240 guy but I also like the P80s. However, I never would be interested in anyone's over-priced "gem". Especially an NA/auto one. And I would also never pay 5-figures for a stock 240...

Then again, I'd also rather spend my time upgrading the car than polishing it.

For posterity, some pictures of that gem. 2000 V70, 122k miles, 1 owner, sold for $5000. Could have gotten double that on Bring A Trailer.

Seriously, it has no wear on the steering wheel, the seats are amazing, and even the elbow rests on the doors didn't shrink. Are we sure these pictures aren't from 20 years ago?
