Hi,

i'm currently planning to lift a b5254T2 engine from S60 (2003 year) to my good tusty 850  . I have full wiring harness and original ECU of the engine at hand. Since it's well known, that ECU tends to be married to car VIN, CEM etc., my question is simple. Do you know, is it possible to get ECU working without rest of the original car electronics by just plugging it in? The key is the plug in solution - no hacks involved. The B52524t2 will be wired to the rest of the system in a manner that only engine sensors + new throttle pedal & injectors are visible to it. Rest of the car remains to be handled by original 850 Fenix Ecu.

If plug in option won't work, i have a custom ECU ready to handle the engine as well (this shall control the system at the end of the project anyway) .... but the mappings will probably be suboptimal there. I would really prefer to start with only 1 big and complex variable :D.

Thanx in advance ...
