Hy Buddies,
I need some brain grey stuff to solve an issue.
I work on my 850 outside, on the parking of my building. My celar is to 25 metres. So, to have all the tools i need i bought this :
The problem is that each time i move it to any direction, drawers get out from left, or right.
The slides work very well, I cleaned and re-greased them, but the latches that act as brakes are worn. How would you go about locking these drawers while handling the beast? I was thinking of straps (not great in terms of support), or a long magnetic bar placed on each side vertically, which I could remove and fix on the sides after handling the cart.
I specify that I don't have anything to weld, otherwise, I would have welded a screw at the top and one at the bottom, and I would have put a flat iron.
Install these parts in the slides ?

Simple solution:
Make a 90 degree angle bracket with two holes on one side for bolting to your cabinet. Make one hole in the other side large enough for a round bar. Bolt the angle brackets to the cabinet above and below the drawers. The round rod can be dropped down the larger hole and stop the drawers from opening. Add a small lock and you have some security from tool theft.

Maybe drill a hole ( 5-8mm ) off to the side in each drawer handle and drop a steel rod down through them. That would connect them all together and that alone might hold them in place. If not, then it wouldn't be hard to figure out a way to attach that rod to the cabinet while moving it around. I'm thinking a little " L " bracket with a hole drilled in it, screwed to the cabinet at the bottom.
