I was on the phone with my provider Century Link because of a problem (rare), and the agent said "Do you want 1000Mbps?" I said no I'm happy with 1/10th that.
Then he said "How about for $5 more per month?" I said "deal". Don't look a gift horse in the mouth.
So $65/month for 1Gbps, not bad. When it debuted here about 2 years ago, they were asking for $100.
Century Link is really bad for customer service, but once it's up and running I go years between problems, so I'm good with them.
