I didn't wake up today and notice this, it's been a thing for about a year, and we've seen the crazy uptick in used car prices and new car non-availability. This summer, my buddy had to drive to Phoenix from LA to get a new Tundra. There were 0 available in all of Southern California. This isn't the new 2022 Tundra that isn't available yet, it's the last year (2021) of this body style, which dates to 2007 and is, well, dated.
This story isn't about cars, but it did spur me to make this post.

America isn't running out of everything just because of a supply-chain crisis. America is running out everything because Americans are buying so much stuff.
