Gents,
Last Saturday i hit a pothole and popped my drivers front tire and dented the rim. Not to worry though I have a second set of the same rims and tires and so replaced it in short order. Aired up to 50 psi per the tire spec. Tire inflation light stays on, indicates Tire Needs Air Now!. I checked the air in all four tires, all at 50 psi. What is the issue here? Did I damage something when I hit the pothole? Is there a sensor out of whack? Does the computer need to be reset?

The first thing to determine which type of TPMS your Volvo has. Look at one of the other 3 wheels, specifically the inflation valve stem:
Direct TPMS: The valve stem is metallic and fatter than a rubber stem. At the inside end of the stem is a battery-powered
air pressure sensor with short-range radio communication to a central TPMS receiver.
Indirect TPMS: The valve stem is a conventional rubber stem. Low tire pressure is indirectly sensed using the wheel speed
sensors which also provide input to ABS, AWD, and traction control. A tire with low pressure revolves slightly faster than normal (its diameter has decreased).
If you have Direct TPMS, you need rescue the sensor from a damaged tire and reinstall it on the replacement tire.
If you have Indirect, you can do a recalibration from the console "MyCar" menu.
