Im going on a trip in my favorite rocketship! Prepping! What extras to pack?

I am prepping for a road trip in my favorite rocketship. A little ways out; March 1 or 2 to Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana is the plan.

Second PO of the Squall did the clutch, timing belt, water pump, plugs, wires. I just did the rear brake shoes, pads, rotors, and two of my 2001 s80 NA wheeIs. Also done: adjusted parking brake, replaced one rear window switch, the upper and lower radiator hoses, coolant, nearly all bulbs. I have the supplies to replace the rear light housings (mine are loose or tacky), front brake hoses, fluid, pads, rotors, and the other two s80 wheels. I just bought a new coolant reservoir, 2 reservoir caps (mine leaky), fuel pump, and fuel pump seal. Radiator is also leaky so will buy another tomorrow hopefully. Next month, Im going to buy at least three Michelin CrossClimate2 tires, a spare 16", and a few emergency blankets. I have snow chains. Ill probably be sleeping in my car. What are a few extra car parts that I should take with me?

Those elbows are part of thefuel line , not separate parts. Make sure you know where the leak is.

No fuel leak is small, sort out that out before your trip, please.

"Smells of gas" is usually one of the lines on top of the gas tank, or the fuel pump seal. Not usually the elbows though it could be.

Anyone here that has replaced their FWD model fuel pump AND lives in a place where salt is laid during the winter will probably understand the following description. When I looked at the fuel pump a few days ago, there was small amount (<=1/4") of gas surrounding what appears to be a bit of rock salt in the top of the fuel pump where the lines connect. After watching rspi's (RobertDIY) video of replacing the fuel pump, the gas could be from the line connections. Can gas actually splash through a bad pump seal or is it just the fumes?

Yes, liquid gas gets through a bad pump seal. With a bad pump seal on my 95, gas would drip on my driveway when the tank was full and the car was parked at a slant. Fought this off and on for a couple years until I finally got a Volvo branded pump seal in there. It's easy to fold the edge somewhere when you install those seals, do it carefully.

You can also remove carefully and carefully inspect the current seal, see if there are any creases. It should be perfect, no creases or lines anywhere from s small lip folding up etc.

If you think the seals in the line connecting elbows may be bad, get the top of the pump completely dry of fuel then run the fuel pump on a half tank without moving the vehicle, see if any gas seeps through and accumulates up there. I've never seen those leaking but it could be. When the fuel pump seal leaks it usually happens when the tank is full, though you may not notice it until later of course. But anyway, because of this you could even drive it around on a quarter tank then look where fuel is accumulating. If you see anything it's probably not the pump seal. Replace it anyway if you're getting a new fuel pump, of course.
