Trans Code 2-3-2 from '95 850

Post by jrpursell »

I replaced the Speedometer Sensor last weekend and reset the codes, and everything was fine. Drove the car probably 600 miles since then. Tonight, the dreaded flashing arrow came back on, but now none of the gauges in the cluster work either (this hadn't happened before), as well as being in limp mode. Tried the "ratchet cleaning" on bay 13, but that didn't do anything.

Any ideas?

Maybe not but could be a short in the ignition tumbler...try wiggling your ignition key around and see if your gauges work.

I doubt it's the ignition switch. I replaced that last year. When that was bad, the lights wouldn't even work (they currently do) and I had trouble getting out of park unless I wiggled the key.

Any other ideas?

In that case it sure sounds like the PNP switch.

That's what I think. But wouldn't that shoot a PNP code instead of the Vehicle Speed Sensor Fault code? I'm sure there are well over 100k miles on this PNP switch, if not more.
