The passenger door microswitch is Messed up. Sometimes it will lock the door (via the remote or central lock button) and sometimes it will not, and unlock all doors. And sometimes it works just fine.. Sometimes while driving, it will unlock the doors. And the "Passenger door open" alert comes on with it, which means I can't see data read out like MPG. The bad part is I will leave the car, lock the doors, and maybe five minutes later, the car alarm goes off. I have tried spraying WD 40 in there, but that works for only a short time. Is there any way to fix it besides taking apart the whole door insides?
I can get an assembly from the parts yard.

You should be able up punch out that door open message and get your data after that? I have a bad ABS on my P2 for which I have to do his

It's tough to get to the microswitches for spray cleaning and although I haven't tried this yet I did pull (broke apart) a door lock assembly apart to see if a hole could be drilled to get access to switches (see photo). It may be possible to get some electrical cleaner in there but you still have to pull the lock assembly out and drill a small hole for access. With my car I've had to replace three of the four door lock assemblies over the years, two for switch problems and one with a broken linkage.

Looks like I will pulling one at the parts yard. Could someone tell me which wires on the connector activate the switch for the alarm? I definitely want to test it before install....
Or maybe bypass / short it with a jumper at a connector?

Attached is from a 2002 V70 wiring doc, should be correct for your car. You should check both switches, the door locked switch and door closed open/switch. I believe you can manually latch and unlatch to check the door closed switch and also manually unlock/lock to check the lock switch.

or find the connector and jump Brown and Pink?

just disable the entire alarm system?

BTW - what happens is I will lock he car, but the door refuses to stay locked, and the lock button on the door jumps up, which the unlocks all doors.
