Is there a How To or Tutorial on finding repairs in the MVS Repair Database? I've mostly found original threads by searching within MVS or a google search using "MVS" in the search terms.
If I go to the home page, find the database link, then pick a model, there's a stack of photos with links to various articles, but I don't see a "By Systems" or that sort of sorting. Or alphabetical.
I realize this isn't a substitute repair manual, but I know there are mountains of DIY's and old posts here on most every kind of issue or repair.
I saw one issue in that there was a button for V70 2001-2007, and another for V70XC / XC70. I'm not sure the info for the P2 2001-2007 XC70 is in the V70 link, and it looks like a lot of P80 info is in the X70XC / XC70 link. So there's some overlap. And sometimes very old posts have lost the photos that went with the text.
So maybe I'm just not using it right. I could use some help.
Thanks -

Hi BB
Yea there is a lot of information in the VRD. Two thousand posts, give or take. I've been removing low-quality and dupe posts recently, so it's probably lower than 2k now.
I'd try two things.
Search
Powersearch
... you can find Powersearch in the menu in every non-forum page:
Mobile is so similar to these desktop screenshots that I'm not going to do those also. It's the same.
Search returns results first (at the top) by looking in titles. Slotting in below that are posts with your keyword(s) in the body of the post, or in tags or categories.

Help keep MVS on the web -> click sponsors' links here on MVS when you buy from them.
Also -> Amazon link. Click that when you go to buy something on Amazon and MVS gets a cut!
