Hoping that someone with more knowledge than me can give me any ideas please. When driving at below 55mph the engine runs at 110 deg C. Any increase of speed and the temp rises until finally the 'Engine Hot' warning light comes on. I have driven it like this for 7k miles. The cooling fan runs at 98%. When the car is stationary the temp drops to 94 deg C. Work completed so far:-
1) Bubble test
2) New Thermostat and housing (This is at rear of engine)
3) New water pump
4) New Radiator
5) Coolant flush
6) Cabin heater matrix flushed.
7) Steel seal used.
9) 2nd bubble test
Most of the work was carried out at a garage at great expense.
The cabin heater was running warm but after I flushed it the drivers side is hot, but passenger side only warm. When engine is running, there are small bubbles rising in expansion bottle. My only option looks like scrapping it! Please help to save a Volvo.
