850 Turbo "shelf life"?

I am considering selling my 1997 850 GLT, and have been told by 2 Volvo dealers (both trying to sell me a car) that my trade-in value is lower than expected because with 95k miles my Turbo will die soon. Sounds like a line of %#$! to me but now I am concerned.
I have had all regular maintenance done to this point, but I have also had to pump about $2,000 in repairs in the past 2 months. The Crystal ball question - Time to get out or am I over the hump on expenses?
