| I have had a high pitched noise that cycles on and off whenever the a/c is on for as long as I've had my 1998 V70 wagon. I had it in numerous times and I could only get two people at the dealership to hear it because the mechanics could not hear the high frequency. The noise has gotten worse and after 120K miles, the a/c is no longer blowing cold air. My mechanic (who used to work at the dealer) said that it's probably the evaporator and that he wanted to replace it back in 98, but the dealer wouldn't let him. Has anyone else had this high pitched noise? I don't have dog hearing! However, I do protect my ears from loud noises so I won't damage my hearing. |
