Re: Point me in right direction s vs v doors swappable?
Old guy advice. You want primary reference information on a big thing like this, not sifting through3 facts in 97 posts of untruth. Link to volvo web store https://www.volvopartswebstore.com/showAssembly.aspx?ukey_assembly=236700&ukey_make=865&ukey_model=12011&modelYear=1998&ukey_cat...

Which redblock is best for high HP?
I found this and thought it'd be good to keep around. Fredrik Rantala: The engine code does NOT in any way tell how strong it is. All redblocks have their own strong points: B19 late models have VERY thick cylinder walls, like 5mm so they can take ridiculous amounts of boost, like 5bar+ B21 have mor...

Re: What should I do with my 98' v70 wagon (base)
Welcome to the forum. Of course we want to see pictures. I've read that adding a turbo to a non-turbo is essentially impossible. How about using this car to learn the basics of maintenance and repair, make it reliable, then keep it as a daily driver while you tinker with some other sporty thing. Tre...

Which parts are better bought as Volvo brand instead of any aftermarket? Please reply with any: - Information a...

Re: ready to buy a non-turbo redblock. need info.
I can answer some of these questions. Yes, some red blocks had carbs - maybe only Canada and Europe. I have read general articles of red block making 400 HP with Turbo and excessive fuel to prevent detonation. Not fuel miser, but lots of HP. A 6 speed Tremec trans could probably be installed with ma...

Re: Need accurate info on redblock and rwd whiteblock power limit for daily driver
My thought is that 200-250 is max for a ‘daily driver’ NA. You’re up to the bleeding edge of reliability past that. It won’t be reliable, it won’t last long, it won’t be tractable and calm in traffic, and it might just blow up. The collector guys all get hot for the early Porsche 911S, rather than a...

Re: Need accurate info on redblock and rwd whiteblock power limit for daily driver
Example of what Lugnut mentioned - "Horsepower costs money"
3 liters, turbocharged, custom forged everything, 800 hp. HUGE dollars, then dyno te$ting. Likely short lifespan. No mileage expectations.
