Does it all drain out, or only if you fill it all the way? I have a leak that lets me fill about 3/4 of the way up i'd say. I think it was clipped while parallel parked, cracking the top of the reservoir slightly. Figure i just won't fill it all the way from now on.

I'd say you can wait 12 months if the car doesn't get the mileage usually necessary for an oil change. The oil does get old and degrade even if not driven.

Did this today thanks to this write up. First time after ~79k miles. Make sure you pull off the old crush washer - mine was stuck on. Fluid wasn't burnt, but was definitely dirty. Seems I got around 3.25 L out, but maybe the container wasn't accurate. Put the same amount of Toyota T4 in. Old and new...

Not sure if it's the best way, but I just replaced the first plastic T adapter after the washer pump (that splits towards windshield and headlights) with an I adapter so everything goes towards the windshield.
