Re: Swapping SRS control modules between cars- An Answer
Bert: I responded to your other post and you are thinking what I outlined. As boostedxc had success, I would try a module from a post 2002 car. The 2001 was a carry over year and that could be the issue. I suppose it is possible your 2002 has a 2001 module swap. If you search replacement modules on ...

Re: The SRS Codes that Will NOT Die
In Vida go to Diagnostics-Vehicle Communication-Network. Find the SRS module and click on it. Make sure it is green and reports to the network. It will show two software part numbers. Another module from the same model year SHOULD have the same numbers. Get a used one from another car. SRS modules a...

Re: Question about P2 Engine/Transaxle Mount Failure
My 2004 P2 it was the subframe bushings. Absolutely drove me crazy enough to replace every suspension part to no avail. Then the rear main seal sprung a leak and I insisted the subframe bushings were to be replaced since the frame was on the ground. To my surprise it cured the problem. So if everyth...

Re: Question about P2 Engine/Transaxle Mount Failure
Almost stripped collar sleeve can do that. Propeller shaft's front CV joint, too.

Tip for easier work on front of engine
I thought of a tip today to make it more comfortable to work down low on the front of V70 engines. The steel radiator support has an edge on the back side that is always cutting into your arms. This is particularly hard when the fan is removed. I realized a length of split hose or wire loom would ma...

Re: Question about P2 Engine/Transaxle Mount Failure
Mark the axle bolt and keep an eye on it. Those are also single use bolts so they May loosen again on you
Be careful confirming the torque setting. My Alldata lists the very tight torque for the nut for my 1999, which isn’t right for the bolt, which is 50 Nm, i believe

Re: 2002 V70 2.4T When does Radiator Cooling Fan Activate?
Thanks Abscate! That was just what I did yesterday. Here's what I found: --- 12.68v at the fan connector, so it is getting power --- IF I apply battery voltage to the fan turns it on, though it seems slow to get to speed. ---- I grounded the fan controller wire and fan did NOT turn on. According to...

Re: 2004 V70 2.4 Sudden pull to right after hitting bumps
Here's how I've done mine. See that short little plumbing pipe with a cap on it? Cheap from the hardware store. Soft iron so it doesn't damage anything. Make sure you don't pinch the rubber boot. Tap it home. DON'T use the bolts to pull it in.
