Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?

. What did "someone" do to your P2 Volvo today? 2009 S60 2.5T AWD No one was injured but I think I lost another one? Couple of months ago the 00 S70 SE. Both cars were very clean in and out. Not sure what the other party's insurance will pay. The other car was in a real hurry backing out ...

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?

reinstalled the high pressure headlight nozzle. Interestingly enough, nothing comes out of the drivers side nozzles, but they do extend outwards. The passenger side seems to spray double the amount it should and fully extends out.

Will fix it when time permits

Re: Late P80 power steering fluid - Not listed on parts sites?

Napacanada still stocks CHF11S at 62$ cad per L in Berta. Volvo of Toronto was around 45$ per L if i recalled. When i flushed my P80 recently I pulled something out of the Honda Handbook. Put the car up on stands, connected the reservoir low pressure return to a plastic line and put that into the bu...

Re: S70 ran out of oil :(

Stick a scope into the oil fill cap and see how the cams look. They would have taken a beating if the rocker went bad/got stuck. You can also do the oil change and look for glitter in the pan. You have really hardly worked oil mixed with new good synthetic. Change it all and see if it makes any diff...

Didn't think to do it the way you did it. That info is great.

Neil.
Sorry i meant my p2. The p2 is about identical setup to your car. It is actually easier to do on a P2/bastard because of the offset reservoir

Re: Late P80 power steering fluid - Not listed on parts sites?

In the interest of future readers can we agree on a summary for this? P80 1998 and prior (your power steering pump will have the reservoir built into it), use Dex3 ie automatic transmission fluid for your power steering pump. P80 99-2000 There is incorrect information in the owners manual, please us...

Re: V70 '98 crank, no start. Out of ideas [Fenix, IMMO3]

The 98 V70 computers are interchangeable, although the 10V is quite a bit more rare if i recall. I had issues with the manual climate control system having cold solder joints and malfunctioning. Reflowing the connector fixed the issue. You could carefully reflow the ECM connector and see if that hel...

Re: V70 '98 crank, no start. Out of ideas [Fenix, IMMO3]

Weird question but do all your lights and turn signals function right when you start the car? If you push the key or shake it will they function if they do not as of now? I know a bad switch can cause these not to turn on. Could you be facing an extreme case?

Re: Bad to worse: Cleaned TB, now erratic idle and stalling

When i cleaned the MAF i remember having to reset some sort of adaptation as the car would instantly stall. Once cleared, it ran a lot better as it relearned the throttle.

Re: What has failed on the PITA V70R this time?? - New info added - HELP!!

Once was at my mechanic and a women came in with a slight clunk/noise when turning the wheel one direction in a 05 XC70. It was very faint but noticeable in the quiet cabin. He undid the steering rack mount bolts and let it settle then tightened them back up. Solved the noise for her if i recall cor...
