Re: 98 S70 front hood latch
The hood release cable pulls on the drivers side first, and from that latch to the passengers side. Easy/maybe fix; spray lube inside both latch mechanisms. Then coat the U shaped catch piece's on the hood liberally with heavy grease. I do this as one of those general maintenance things. If that doe...

Re: 98 S70 T5 Head gasket replacement cost
Prices vary across the country, but I'd guess a shop would be in the $1800 range. A few other bits and pieces have to be purchased as well to do the job, plus there is the potential for " job creep ", so keep that in mind. Guessing again, but you could probably do it yourself for around $3...

Re: 98 S70 T5 Head gasket replacement cost
Heater would still work, even with a small leak. Check under the drivers side carpet for moisture. You could just add a second hose clamp along side the existing one, and that would most likely stop it from coming off. Only problem is that the pressure might then blow something else out that isn't a...

Re: aftermarket fuel pressure regulator
I'm afraid not at all. I am running a different fuel pump, wiring for it, and injectors, but still the original FPR.
I'm guessing that the tune is link which makes it all work. But you might try over at S.S. and see if someone over there has done what you're doing. Worth a try....

It can lead to a minefield, and the folks who run this place don't want it blowing up :) . Think of it as a Volvo Garden of Eden. Oops, I might have just stepped on something. S.S. is Swed...

Re: Help identify unknown drooping wire for 1996 850 Turbo Sedan
I would take a short length of heater hose, split it and put it over that plastic hose before that one breaks.
I imagine that you could also cut that bad section out and replace with a piece of rubber hose, though it might need to be fuel rated.

Re: S70 ran out of oil :(
Damn ! Hate to say it, but that gold color material is probably bearings. It must have been driven a bit without oil.
