Headlining replacement guide, repair, replace fix, DIY.
HI guys. I just realised Matthews Volvo site allows pretty good picture upload support so I can just put the images directly on here without having to host them on some other website and link them. if a moderator can embed the images in order between the text I would be grateful. The headlining in m...

Re: Ignition Coils
Usually no need to replace the all. Only use Bosch - see Fcpeuro or Ipdusa for new ones or Ebay for used ones as mentioned. If you go used ones see this www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHLgXQo6E9c But even more important, find out why the coil failed. Usually it's a thermostat problem on the 3.2, it cracks ...

Re: SPARK / ignition issues, changed plugs to NGK - worse. Was FoMoCo tri tip sparks before
I own two 3.2s and they both run flawlessly If I were in your position I would start with denso iridium spark plugs Denso 5344 IKH20 Iridium Power - single fine tip (This is what I use for both of my 3.2's a 2008 and a 2010) or Denso 4704 IKH20TT Iridium TT - twin tip (This is what my friend is usin...

Re: My XC90 tried to kill me
"Not a fan so far of the XC Volvo's I will say. I have been strongly advising this family about ever getting one again. The Volvo wagons I'm open minded to, they seem to be better rated for reliability." I would not recommend any Volvo to anyone who will not perform basic maintenance on th...

Re: Not sure if we got a death sentence on '07 V6 XC90... fuel pump, prop shaft, 2-3 cats + more?
First things first; do yourself a favor and either download a VIDA image and purchase a cloned DiCE on ebay or wherever or get something like a icarsoft i906 to read the car and use the VIDA download as a reference. With the VIDA/DiCE combo, you can test the fuel pump. Using a OBDII reader is worthl...

Re: Not sure if we got a death sentence on '07 V6 XC90... fuel pump, prop shaft, 2-3 cats + more?
Okay, good info which changes how you will approach this. It will take some new parts since you are basically catching up to the assumed non-maintenance of the vehicle and some snake oil. So they had it for a year, how did it drive right after they bought it? Do the fuel pressure sensor first. See i...

Okay, I cannot remember your "color cars." Just say what year and engine as that carries a lot of information (you can put them in your signature too). Blue pill, red pill, don't know what is in each, lol. If you are used to Hondas, then you will understand that you can get cat inefficienc...

Re: Monroe 182263 + 64 Mazda 3 Strut for V50 and P1 models?
. Here is my input into a 4 wheel alignment. https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=653534#p653534 . When making adjustments it's always Caster, Camber the Toe. With the P1 you have Camber in the back and Toe upfront. You have to install the adjustable camber arm first and adjust t...

Re: Another One Bites the Dust. Cylinder 3 zero compression. Scraping 265K car. Run it anyway until d
Unplug the injector and the mileage won’t suffer much. It will run ok over 2500 rpm but it will have a perpetual check engine code for misfire. I would run it. I do have a good NA cylinder head in Albany NY
