Re: Hydroplaned into a tree with the love of my life. The consensus is this is totaled. Can I get a second opinion?
Hold on to it. In the meantime look for a 940 that been parted out. Buy the shell cheap or even better do the guy a favor by getting it out of his yard ... no charge .. and make one out of two.

If you can do the repair yourself, it looks to be worth doing. If you have to pay others, then may not be practical

* You don't show the hood? The passenger fender also needs replacement. Radiator support and new radiator might be in store also from the damage and or age. From how far the bumper is pushed in and how bent the passenger side bumper strut is you won't be able to get the chassis back online again. Yo...

Re: Hydroplaned into a tree with the love of my life. The consensus is this is totaled. Can I get a second opinion?
Had a $400 69 Corona beater that I put in a used Japanese motor besides the clutch and flywheel. Yes, in my mid 1980's younger days. Put a lot of time and effort and then had someone rear end it while parked. The driver ran off and left his car. The police said the owner did not know who had his ca...

Looks like you are going to be removing many AC parts. Not sure if the circled part is a radiator or an intercooler. Probably locate some used parts from a junkyard car so you can take it apart first so that you know how it comes apart. Then putting your car back together won't be such a mystery.

Is it okay to lift my 1994 850 sedan like this? https://volvo850wagon.files.wordpress.com/2013/07/dscn2500.jpg also, if acceptable, is it safe to ...

Re: Volvo 850 Non Turbo - What tf is this tube?
It's the same thing, hose to the air pump, but on the 94 it doesn't go to the air box it just sits there in the corner. Read the posts by crlande, everything is normal in your car.

Re: 850 - Control Arms - Aluminum swap Steel
Yes. They are interchangeable. Don't throw away the old aluminum ones as some folk like them as they are lighter and you can just swap out the ball-joint and not the whole arm. I had a set and a guy twisted my arm in desperation to get his hands on them for that reason.
