Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
While I was out there, I also reattached the left rear mud flap on the T5 with two new rivets to supplement the single point of attachment that remained and took it to the car wash, where they offered me a $20 monthly membership that includes unlimited car washes. I did briefly consider it. :D My 8...

Re: 1997 850 won't accept fuel at the gas station.
Assuming you're not trying to fill a full tank, it's got to be a venting issue. I've had that happen on a GM work van. On the van the whole evap system was under the vehicle next to the tank, and the official word from GM was that "spiders" would nest in some hole and plug it up. I think i...

Re: Is my 1994 850 10valve or 20 valve ?
Hi every one, I am trying to positively identify if my AUTRALIAN DELIVERED 1994 850 sedan is 10 valve or 20 valve. I can see no identifying numbers on the motor or I.D plates. The owners manual in the glove box lists 5 motors it could be and naturally these include both 10 and 20 valve motors which...

Re: 1998v70 Car Will Not Start AGAIN
The vacuum tree is the plastic piece that fits in the top of the intake manifold and has multiple vacuum ports. It's on the right on my 96.

Re: Bougicord or After maket leads
If you pay shipping, from the US, I'll send you the Bougicord wires. I accidentally got a 10 valve set from FCP. They were mis-labeled, so it was neither my mistake, nor FCP's. FCP didn't want them back, and just sent me the proper 20 valve wires. I'll never use them for anything, so if you want the...

Re: Metal Accordion Pipe To Air Box 1998 v70 946841, 9438274
When they work, they work great to the point where it would have been good to have a similar arrangement for the turbos for cold climates. Helps the engine heat up much quicker and therefore the cabin as well. The thermostat is the only downside unfortunately, and unlike the 240 is not replaceable....

Re: Rust prevention
Oh wow, that's every bit as fantastic as the top side! Turpentine is an interesting choice. It's not used much in the us anymore. I did make a homemade oil and wax rust proofed out of it o ce though. I liked the smell. I'll see if that lanolin product is available here. Lanolin is also not used a lo...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
Received my Amazon package today. I've been noticing that similar to my 850 the S70's cruise control takes more pedal than it should to disengage, so I ordered a new brake pedal switch. I didn't want to spend the big bucks for the switch that I did for the 850 ($50+expedited shipping), so I ordered ...
