Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
Just a word of caution! Do not use regular rivets and washers to fit these. First curb you go over that catches your front mudflap will rip it beyond repair and most likely bend your fender badly too. Volvo has expensive rubber coated rivets that can be found on line from non-Volvo suppliers more re...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
The constant tension clamps are used on coolant hoses on MANY cars, primarily American and Asian. European cars are pretty much the only ones I work on that don't use many of them.

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
My 850's mudflaps could stand to be replaced. The fronts looks abraded by something. I didn't know they're held on with pop-rivets, but I suppose that makes sense since the fender well liners are held on that way on the S70. Proprietary, plastic tipped aluminum. 979878 They actually hold the bottom...

Re: '94 850 57 code at auction 12/17 in Philly
Since I put these cars on the forum, I should follow up with the whole slice of the pie. Hammer: $1600 Internet fee 69 Fuel (!?!) 8 Buyer fee 265 Total $1942 (Plus a credit card fee as I recall; I've avoided that by doing a cashier check direct deposit on my last two buys) As long as this particular...

Re: Rehabilitating the T5M
I just got a real holiday treat. The previous owner of the T5M called me! Shortly after buying the car, I found his address and wrote him a letter saying that his well-loved car was in good hands and will get fully restored. I invited him to contact me so I could learn more about the car and his tim...

Re: 98 V70 T5 brake pedal sinks *SOLVED*
**UPDATE took a week to get parts/bubble flare kit so I could cut and flare the V70 hard brake line today. Bit of a PITA but went well and NO LEAKS! Many years ago I had to run new hard break lines front to rear on a rusty 4runner actuator line, I posted my "pro tip" on a Toyota forum site...

Re: 98 V70 T5 brake pedal sinks *SOLVED*
...my "pro tip" on a Toyota forum site and it worked well again today while hand bending (w/pliers) V70 front hard lines from radius to flat to radius again. If you don't have a break line bender or space is an issue, simply insert the appropriate diameter weed wacker line (.080) into the...

Re: Rear Intake Camshaft Seal 9443310 Replacement, Is there a write up?
To everyone who commented, thank you. With that information I was able to remove the plate (rotor mount as I call it now) by removing the bolts from the rotor, inserting them into the rotor mount and pulling. It popped right out. I guess I could've simply pulled on the rotor when it was attached, an...

Quick hello from a new 850 Estate owner
Thought I'd better post a quick hello , I've recently dug out my late father's 850 Estate from his garage, Dad sadly passed away just before the whole covid thing (not covid related ) And his Volvo had been parked since untouched . Even after all this time (battery still had enough life to light the...
